Family Nurse Practitioner (North Adirondack, NY)
Family Nurse Practitioner Travel Required : 0-10% Job Description : The Nurse Practitioner is a Licensed Independent Practitioner, responsible for providing primary care to patients, as an independent healthcare provider working with a physician collaborator.
Scope of practice and delineation of NP privileges are credentialed and approved by the Chief of Medicine, Chairman of the Credentials Committee, Medical Executive Committee, Hospital CEO, and Executive Board of AHMC.
EDUCATION
New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse and New York State Certified Nurse
LICENSURE: required, and ACLS course completion is required within one 1 year.
Collaborative Agreement and Practice Protocols must be on file in practice setting. Practice protocol must be filed with New York State within 90 days of commencement of practice.
CONTACTS:
Patients, families, health center staff, hospital staff, collaborating physician and consulting physicians, outside vendors pharmaceutical representatives . Contact may occur with persons of different ages, cultures, or disabilities.
JOB HAZARDS:
May be exposed to infectious disease processes. May include unknown undiagnosed infectious and or communicable diseases. Will be required to wear personal protective gear.
