Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (1 position) (Midwest, MO)

JOB SUMMARY: The Advance Practice Nurse – Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is a registered nurse who provides a primary level of care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team. Provide care to a specific patient population; obtains health history; performs physical examination; formulates a plan of care and performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Maintain an advanced knowledge base and skill in health promotion and maintenance, disease prevention, physical psychosocial assessment, patient family education and management of health and illness in the care of neonates and their family members. The individual in the job provides direct patient care to Neonate-Toddlers 0-3 years

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assures the delivery of comprehensive care through the coordination and provision of expert direct and or indirect patient care to a caseload of patients and their significant others. Collaborates with other members of the health care team.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum Requirements
Must have certification in NNP
RN license in Missouri
Prefers MS in Nursing, will consider BS
BCLS certification
3-5 years clinical experience and hospital experience
Must demonstrate clinical expertise in the neonatal specialty practice
Will work with medical students, residents, parents, and hospitalized neonatal infants.
Must speak, read and write English
Must be able to lift 50 lbs w o assistance
